Sami and Mike had a beautiful Loudoun County wedding that featured blue, green, and white flowers. The wedding took place last fall at Bluemont Vineyard. This wedding was by far one of the most beautiful transformations of the stables at Bluemont. Many thanks to my husband Evan who designed a space that was a magical and glorious haven for our bride and groom.  This was one of Evan’s biggest projects last year, and our studio had a complete blast doing the event design for this wedding. Many thanks to the amazing photographer Anne Robert, who gave me so many incredible images that this may be my longest blog post ever. Also we want to wish Anne well, she is just days from having her second sweet baby girl. We love you Anne!!!

Sami carried a bouquet of blue aggies, blue hydrangea, blue thistle, white dahlias, green seeded euc, blue viburnum berry, blue veronica, and green millet. The bouquet was bound with bark wire and a family brooch.

Maids bouquets were created with blue hydrangea, green hydrangea, blue thistle, seeded euc, fiddle head ferns, green cabbage roses, and blue veronica.

The birch and willow chuppah Evan designed for us collapses into an arch, it’s such a beautiful structure.  We adorned the arch with all the flowers of the day.

Because the reception space is in a barn there is a magnificent center aisle.  We set a huge king table in the center of barn. Evan draped fabric through the rafters and added white twinkle lights on each side of the fabric panels. Evan also hung chandeliers over the king table.  The look of this was awesome!! I have done many events in the barn but this was by far the most beautiful event we have designed there.

At the end of the king table Evan created a beautiful drape that framed the place where the bride and groom would be seated. Evan actually took a sewing class to be prepared for this event.

The table featured centerpieces in barn board boxes, small mason jars, bud vases and lanterns the family purchased from Restoration Hardware.

The surrounding tables featured elevated designs on my iron stands or designs in our barn board boxes.

Seating cards were hung by twine on the outisde of the barn. This looked adorable.

This was most definitely one of my favorite weddings from 2011.  Happy married life Sami and Mike, thank you for giving us this opportunity to play in the stables of Bluemont Vineyard.
