Meghan married this past weekend at the Thomas Birkby House in Leesburg, VA. We created her a fabulous bouquet of ornamental grasses, green hydrangea, purple phlox, green cymbidium orchids, dahlias, scabiosa flowers, purple thistle, and allium flowers.
Maids carried bouquets of fiddle head fern, seeded euc, blue thistle, green cabbage roses, green mini hydrangea, and deep purple stock.
I would love to take credit for some of the great design elements at this wedding but Meghan and her amazing mom worked together to add some awesome details to the big day. They created the monograms in moss, and also these awesome picture frames.
Don't you just love all of these super designs. I was in awe with the look of everything they created.
I love the guest book.
The family also set up this candy bar which was truly one of the cutest candy displays I have ever seen.
We created the floral arrangements in vases that the family actually made by gluing a round rose bowl onto a glass cup. This extra effort and work turned a regular run of the mill bowl into something sexy. The family also made all of the burlap runners.
The head table had these adorable signs.
We brought in burlap, angel vine, and our vintage boxes to sexy up the buffet.
The family also brought in potted herbs and plants to use as extra decor. We loved having those to play with.
Having a bridal family this creative to work with was a lot of fun, I love working with new design elements. I can promise you I will be making those moss covered picture frames in the future. I can also promise you that I am glad that they made the moss covered monograms. I have made those before and it is a ton of work.
As usual the Thomas Birkby House just absolutely glowed and I am so happy to be a vendor at this fabulous venue.
Happy married life Meghan. We LOVED your wedding.!

LOVE THIS. Gosh, I’m so jealous of their incredible weather they had at the Birkby house on their wedding…
These flowers are gorgeous and colorful! I can still remember when I got married last year in our home. It was just a simple wedding, but everything’s in it was perfect and unique. And the coolest thing about our wedding was that I didn’t actually walk down the isle. I walked down through our spiral stairs as my husband waited for me by the altar. Up to now, I still shudder in delight every time I think of that moment.
