We are celebrating today because one of our bouquets made the cover of the new Winery Weddings In Virginia magazine. As you can imagine, we are very excited about this honor. Our work was photographed by Astrid from {A} Strid Photography, and the images were taken at Ingleside Vineyard. Many thanks to Pam from Atrendy Wedding, who styled the shoot and asked me to do the florals. The table marker, menu and place cards were designed and created by Michele Hatty Fritz from Meant To Be Calligraphy. Astrids photographs are truly amazing and this is also a very exciting time for May Durkovic who is the editor of this fabulous new magazine.
Apache roses, peach juliet roses, cafe au lait dahlias, copper colored dahlias, tuber roses, astrantia in white and mauve, white scabiosa, green seeded euc, smoke bush, and astilbe were used to create the bouquet. To finish the bouquet I used silk dupioni ribbon mixed with double faced satin and chiffon ribbons. The designs created for this shoot are incredibly special because I believe I have found yet another color combination that works!! You know I love color, and I love designing pieces that can lead the way or set new trends.
A small piece of tuber rose was used to create the grooms bout.
A very simple and easy chair treatment was added to the brides and grooms chair. I learned this sweet little trick in California, when I studied design under Ariella Chezar.
Creating a new color scheme that can be used by other designers and brides was super fun, and it was awesome to have our bouquet on the cover of the new Winery Weddings magazine!!!
This is SO incredibly gorgeous!!! Love love LOVE it!!!
