Over the summer we had the great pleasure of providing flowers for Linde and Frank’s wedding at River Farm. Linde and Frank are a featured wedding in Washingtonian’s Bride & Groom Magazine. During the absolute height of wedding season I was contacted by Megan and Laura from the planning firm, Events In The City. The fabulous duo explained that they were pulling together a remarkable wedding for a very unique couple and they had only a few weeks to bring the wedding to life. Being utterly devoted to these particular planners and to an incredible love story I jumped on board in spite of the huge events we already had on the books. Helping to design and create a wedding for an adorable couple in just under a month had me totally intrigued. With no time to spare we literally chose and designed the flowers over the phone, I only got to speak with my bride once and never face to face. All designs were created by way of mental telepathy with me, Laura + Megan, and our bride Linde. I was given considerable creative freedom and due to that, I just got in the studio and let my heart soar. Megan and Laura always work so hard on everything they do, so I just knew this wedding was going to be amazing and magical.
The attendants were the couples great nieces and nephews.
Linde’s bouquet was created with calcynia heather, peach juliet roses, lavender stock, blue nigella, lavender scabiosa, lavender herbs, clematis vine from my garden, honey colored hypericum, free spirit roses, and pink majolica spray roses. I decided to cascade the bouquet as I began to design. Laura and Megan had clearly explained the vibe of the wedding. They had also shared with me pictures of the china and the linens, because of this, we moved Instinctively through the designs for this wedding.
Laura and Megan did an incredible job styling this wedding and I truly loved the place card table as well.
Even the cake was perfectly designed with our pretty petals.
Happy married life Linde and Frank!! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day. Many thanks to Washingtonian for choosing to feature this beautiful wedding. The wedding was perfectly and lovingly captured by photographer Tracy Timmester. Tracy is an incredible photographer and I hope to be working with her more in 2012. The work she did was remarkable!!
Good golly, Miss Holly! This is some kind of beautiful!!!
