In February we packed up our scissors and headed to Texas to design the flowers for my sisters wedding. You may remember when I posted about this adventure, if not you can read about that here.

My sister Kristen decided to marry on a pier very near their second home. They love, love, love to fish and so this was about the only theme they had, water, fishing, and well just plain fun. My sister literally arrived at the ceremony on the prow of this little fishing boat. Seeing her arrive like this was pretty darn amazing, none of the guests expected this type of arrival so their cheering was so much fun to hear.

The pier happened to have this great little door frame that was perfect for me to design on.

Clusters of wheat and sea grass were used to decorate the aisle.

Everyone coming down the aisle, whoops I mean pier. The children looked so adorable wearing their life preservers.

My daddy with sister Kristen .

Our little fisher girls were given fishing nets instead of the typical flower girl basket. The designs were decorated with spanish moss and helebores, and they dropped shells as they walked down the pier.

The bridal bouquet was created with helebores, white anemone, pods I found around her yard, succulents I bought at Home Depot, fritillaria, jasmine vine, spanish moss, white ranunculus and  ornithogalum.

My favorite part of this bouquet was the palm tree bark we used to wrap the bouquet. These pieces were so inspired because of the unique things we found on our scavenger hunts.

Her twin sister Catie carried a bouquet of hot pink anemones, jasmine vine, helebores, spanish moss, grasses and wild stuff. We wrapped her bouquet with the same bark.

Guests signed huge rocks that Kristen and Bryan took back to their beach house.

Bouts and corsages were created in the “Hollyish” style we have become known for.

I loved each and every design from this wedding and I enjoyed creating with the amazing things we found along the beach or in the swamp.

I love this photo of me and my husband Evan, and also this picture of the five Heider girls.

Kristen and Bryan, happy married life. We loved doing your Texas wedding.

All photographs in this post were taken by Casey Sullivan and Hannah Chapple.  In addition to the flowers and the photography, we even served the cake, now that is a seriously full service floral design studio.
