As our garden grows and flourishes I long for the bride that truly wants a wedding designed of all organic and locally grown flowers. Currently my garden is producing, salvia, zinnia, sunflowers, nigella, coxcomb, celosia, berry, vine, hydrangea, bupleurum, lily, phlox, queen annes lace, gladiolas, monarda, gomphrena, tansy, ornamental grasses, crocosmia, and branches in fruit. In just days my dear friend Don will have an abundant supply of dahlias, and I am also purchasing from Andrea of Lynnvale Studios. My question is this, does this bride exist? Many girls talk of wanting a green wedding or an all organic event. However I have yet to meet a bride who is willing to let go of her favorite flowers or her color palette. This bride would have to be willing to take whatever the garden gives her. This bride would also have to have endless faith in nature and in me. If you are that girl I am waiting for you. Where are you?
These are the blooms that the garden gave me yesterday morning, but where is the bride to enjoy them?
A bridal bouquet tied with twine, if only there was a bride to carry her.
Does this bride exist and if so where is she? I am waiting for you!!!!
Great post! I agree, not too many willing to give up color scheme, a shame to let all that mixed garden flower goodness go undone!
I hear you! I think those brides are out there, and are growing in number. It’s only a matter of time before you land an amazing wedding for a bride who wants your incredible creations, and gives you the go-ahead to do it 100% seasonal from your garden. It will happen! (And those zinnias are gorgeous!)
Oh Holly! I so wish I was a bride to be …maybe we could do an “I do re-do”…. 🙂 This is exactly what I wanted! So pretty! And what a blessed, bountiful garden!
Oh wow! Seems like your garden is a real treasury! I’m sure your eco-bride will come!
After seeing those photographs I think you have an onslaught of requests…Gorgeous!
Beautiful! Reminds me of the gorgeous flowers you used for my daughter’s Leesburg wedding last July. They were stunning!
