Last weekend will most certainly be remembered as one of my most stressful wedding weekends ever. The incredible storms that ravaged Northern Virginia and DC were truly remarkable and debilitating. The power outages, severe property damage, extreme heat and road closings had us praying all day for safe flower deliveries and for healthy non stressed flowers. Thankfully our team delivered 3 beautiful weddings this weekend and we did it in the middle of total chaos. We must deliver in all kinds of weather.

This beautiful wedding was styled and planned by event designer Janice Carnevale of Bellwetherevents. Janice worked tirelessly to save this wedding as the property and the tent suffered great damage during the storm. I was so happy to see this wedding happen and so proud of Janice and the calm she provided in the storm. Skyline tents also worked tirelessly to restore the reception tent and to secure the property, their devotion was top notch. Design Cuisine and DC Rental were as always above reproach. What a remarkable weekend.

For the next few days I will be designing with some of my floral designer friends. They have come from across the country to design with me. If I miss a post or two don’t be concerned, I am on a secret mission!!!
