Julie married her groom Michael this past weekend in an amazing orange, hot pink and red wedding ceremony that took place under our chuppah/mandap. Remember this… flattery will get you everywhere!! Julie had apparently reached out to our studio several times in hopes that we could be her floral designers. At the time the fall was already looking completely booked for us so we declined her event. However Julie was certain that she wanted us to be her designers so she continued to pursue us as her florists. She even got her fabulous wedding planner Lisa Schulz to call in a few favors and the rest was history. This was one of the easiest and best weddings I have ever designed. Julie knew she wanted me, had to have me, and then she let me rock it!!! Julie paid a deposit without even coming out to our studio, saying that I had done all of her friends weddings and she knew I was the one. Just a few short weeks before her wedding we met for the first time and I fell in love with her. She gave me a list of flowers and colors she liked and then voila we had magic!!! I love my, “meant to be brides.”
Julie’s bouquet was made of santana roses, free spirit roses, hot pink topaz roses, orange orchids, Don’s dahlias, red orchids, orange calla lily, hot pink cockscomb, crocosmia, and threads of gold.
The couple married under a structure that was part mandap and part chuppah. Julie found fabric for the structure and we had our in house seamstress sew the fabric cover. Myriam and Gaby’s mom is a wizard at sewing and now with Evan sewing as well, we have lots of new things we can offer.
Red mokara orchids, orange mokara orchids, cymbidium orchids, and james story orchids were used to fill the structure. The gold angel hair was used to give the design some shimmer.
Floral lei’s or garlands were created and used during the ceremony.
Our amazing place card design. Inspired by Julie’s one request, ” I want this design to be wow, wow, wow.” Mission accomplished!!
Centerpieces featured tulips, orchids, roses, dahlias, croscosmia, coxcomb, pomegranates, spray roses, hydrangea, amaranthus, and ranunculus.
Of course I am very proud of our designs. This wedding was rich and vibrant and the tones were magnificent. I truly feel so happy that I was chosen to be Julie’s designer. There are only so many events we can do each year and this most certainly was one that we were destined to design. I loved working with this bride. In fact I am just flat out blessed, my girls my brides, are truly the best!! Here is the lovely note I recieved from Julie…
Dear Holly & Team,
I wanted to take a few moments to tell you how much I loved your flowers. From the very beginning of my wedding planning process I knew I just had to have you, not only because of your wonderful reputation, but because I wanted the best!! You were a delight to work with and I knew you would be able to execute my vision. As a Bride, it’s hard to fully trust vendors with the details of your event, but with you I had no stress or concern!!
It’s only been two days since my wedding, but I can’t even count how many comments I have received about the flowers. So many of my guests have commented that the flowers were the most beautiful wedding flowers they had ever seen. You and your team are simply amazing!! I can’t put into words how happy you’ve made me with the flowers, flower arrangements, and the service that you provided – it warms my heart and brings tears to my eyes when I think about how beautiful everything turned out. I will forever remember what you did for my wedding day and feel so blessed to have been able to have you as my florist!!
With all my heart, THANK YOU!!!!
-Julie & Michael
