Baby Grace our little deliciousness!
Photographer Erin J. and I met this Spring when we had our first wedding together. I was immediately attracted to her style of photography and I simply love her personality. Erin asked me if I would do a little mini flower arranging class with her kids and I of course was thrilled to do so. Her daughter Haley is apparently obsessed with flowers, imagine that…
The kids started in the garden where we did a little gathering. The zinnia patch happens to be right next to the hen house.
Her kids got a big kick out of this, apparently it is not common to have a chicken coop in your backyard when you live in the city.
While we were on our excursion to the hen house Erin mentioned that we had a baby chick. I actually thought she was crazy and that she did not know a hen from a rooster. She kept saying "no you have a baby chick." We bought all of these chickens as chicks, but we have never had one hatch here.
This picture of my future flower arranger Grace totally cracks me up. She is seriously giving these flowers a sniff.
Once the flowers were gathered we started arranging.
I was surprised how into this they really were. This is my son Elijah and Erin's daughter Haley.
I have taught countless people how to flower arrange; this was by far my youngest class. I am so glad I took this time for the children, we had a lot of fun in the garden.
