Yesterday, was the dreaded day that Alex headed back to VA. Tech. For weeks we have had the pleasure, of having our oldest son Alex home with us.
Each time he comes home, we consider ourselves very blessed. Alex brings with him, the most unbelievable attitude. He is like a huge spotlight, that lights up the whole house. I often hear parents talk about how horrible it is, to have their kids home from college. I honestly can't even begin to relate. Every last one of the Chapple clan, treasures the time we have with Alex. I have to honestly say, that I was selfishly relieved, when Alex decided to go on to Grad School. I hoped this would mean that he would continue to live at home a little while longer.
I want to thank Alex for coming home, and being a part of the family. I know he does this for all of us. He comes home to help, and to develop relationships with siblings 22 years younger than he is. He is never selfish, he wants nothing and he gives and he gives. He is awesome. Thank you for building the walkway with daddy, mowing the grass, cooking meals, driving siblings to activities, thank you for holding the babies, helping on flower deliveries, editing my blog, helping me with the antique store and sleeping on the floor or any spare bed you could find. You are the best. Thank you for never wanting anything in return. You are the epitome of a caring and giving son. You are amazing.
Good luck this semester Alex. You are on your way to a really great future. We Love You !!!
I am sure you will call me, to tell me how many grammatical errors I made. Please do, I will be waiting.
