A night out with Design Cuisine.
Design Cuisine hosted a fabulous event last night. I was so happy to be on the guest list. I also got to provide all of the flowers, what a honor. 28 lucky guests dinned right in the kitchen at design cuisine. Thanks to Kelly and Seana for bringing me in on this event.
Remember the phone game from when you were a kid. We all had a phone (soup can) with our name, which was also the seating card. The orange string linked us to another guest. Half way through the meal we changed places with our partner, this way we got to know the whole table. Very Clever.
It was great fun meeting with some of the leading event professionals in the area. Hear is a great shot of Kelly from Design Cuisine, Maria Cooke from Ritzybee. Kate Headley the super star photographer.
Look at our goodies!!!!
“love at first bite”
These pictures show the process of designing a table. In order to get the right look for this very special night we had to mix and match several vases. We added pink water into several of the vases and added a hot pink beaded wire. We also had arrangements in orange vases as well as mini arrangements in pink baby square cubes. We laid them all out to make certain we would have enough vases to fill the length of the table.
Also this week I had a really great visit from MOB (mother of the bride) Linda. She came out to do the finishing touches on her daughters upcoming wedding this year. The cool thing about this wedding is, my bride has totally left everything up to her mom. In fact our final choices and look of the table will be a complete surprise for our bride. So this is one of those situations where the bride wants the mom involved, so much so that she is leaving all of the planning up to her. Now that is trust.
Here is a great shot of Linda in the orange shirt and her friend Cathy. Cathy is helping with all of the wedding plans and is baking the wedding cake. They brought me some of their favors and decor so I could see what we are aiming for.
Linda wanted the little silver votive’s so badly that she brought them all the way from a gift shop in Colorado. Now that is serious devotion.
I also wanted to share this very adorable picture of Miss Grace who reached the ripe old age of 4 monthes this week. Here she is modeling her first bathing suit. Unfortunately the picture is in black and white. My photography skills are not improving. I did not know the camera was set on black and white.
We also have a family tradition to photograph each baby in my precious Peonies. Here is our final Peonie Baby shot, since we will not be going from 7 to 8 children. I think 7 is enough.
Today we deliver flowers to our weekly clients, meet with another upcoming bride and design flowers for two very special brides. My bride Jessica the nurse, who was with us when Grace was born will marry this weekend and on Sunday my bride Whitney will marry. I will have wonderful pictures soon.
