On Mondays I typically try and share a few of the images from the past weekend. Today my head is swimming, literally swirling, with memories of this past week or weekend. On many occasions people write to me and tell me how easy our studio makes things look, as if our flower shop is somehow immune to the chaos that typically ensues for all wedding vendors. Thankfully our studio does in any circumstance manage to deliver amazing designs, with incredible service, and a whole lot of love, but behind the scenes there is always a certain amount of stress, danger, or chaos.  Yes, being a florist, or an event designer, can be dangerous. This past week was a whopper for us, we had one man fall off a ladder and end up with stitches in his hand, another designer cut her hand, we got a van stuck in the mud, several teams of designers were caught outside in the middle of an enormous storm, and some of our props were destroyed from sitting in inches of water. I share this because, clients and blog readers don’t often hear or understand the stress that does indeed go on behind the scenes. These things we typically don’t share because we always try to look on the positive side and because in truth we always make it work out, but I have to say this last week was just plain scary.  In spite of all of this, our team delivered some of our finest designs, on time, and without a hitch. Thank you flower gods, this was one heck of a wedding weekend.  As I look back over the past week and weekend, I am certain we are miracle workers. In spite of all that we went through we still created incredible beauty.  We clocked in over 400 man hours in design time alone, that does not include the countless hours that went into the planning of these events, or the endless clean up we will have.  Now for the good part, all of our brides had an amazing and truly beautiful wedding.  Tomorrow I will share with you, the photos from these beautiful weddings.

I am so sorry for all of the mishaps you and your staff incurred. I hope the injured are recovering nicely. If this image is any indicator of the weekend’s events it was truly magical. Take care.

Oh, Holly! We feel you after this weekend! Had our own crazy one with us yelling at each other that we were never doing another wedding again. But after we gave our bride her bouquet and she just gushed over it, we couldn’t wait to do another one!
