I am so excited to share Rachel’s wedding with you today. Rachel is the graphic artist bride that helped me design The Full Bouquet Blog. She is Miss Merkle Design. Rachel had a fabulous clean contemporary wedding in the Historic Thomas Birkby House. I liked the paradox of their contemporary style in the Birkby Houses old fashioned charm.

Rachel carried an all dark purple toned bouquet of callas, carnations, stock, sweet peas, and freeze dried roses. The freeze dried roses are amazing and absolutely necessary when you are trying for a dark purple rose.

I love this photo!! Rachel designed the twitter bird on the home page of the blog. It’s the little black bird that fly’s around. After creating the bird she loved it so much she asked if she could also use it for her programs. This was super special for me. I also love seeing this black candlestick. Rachel had always wanted black stands for her elevated centerpieces. Her grandfather came to the rescue and started making Rachel black candlesticks for the wedding. Unfortunately he passed away before the wedding but he had completed this one black stand so it was placed at the altar of the church in remembrance of him. This was perfect.

Photographer Genevieve Leiper captured the day, I absolutely love the images she took during the ceremony.

Between the wedding and the reception the couple headed to their old high school with photographer Genevieve to capture this awesome shot!!

These pictures were taken on the grounds of the Thomas Birkby House. This is a perfect example of a beautiful Loudoun Wedding.

Amazingly beautiful bride, and I love her Full Bouquet!!!

Rachel spent a lot of time designing this wedding and every detail was so perfectly executed.

She even designed a fabulous candy bar – cake table.

Another perfect touch was the black and white dance floor. Wow the dance floor tied everything together so perfectly!!!

Happy married life Rachael and Michael!!! Thank you for being such a wonderful bride and thank you for helping me design the Full Bouquet Blog. You will always be very special to me!!!
