I was expecting to see a beautiful space when I arrived to Sarah and Erik’s wedding but what I found, absolutely blew me away. The couple was marrying on a point of land that was completely overlooking the water.  I knew the couple was working with Sperry Tents so I was anticipated something wonderful, but what I found was beyond magical, and perfect for the Eastern Shore. Sperry created a whole village for this event complete with a wedding tent, a cocktail tent, a marque tent, a reception tent, as well as an additional tent for the band and catering staff. Sperry also provided hardwood flooring for the entire reception space and marque tents.  I have seen it all over the last 19 years, but this was beyond breathtaking!!

Once I got my eyes up off of the floor I was mesmerized by the ceiling of the tent…

Hundreds of lanterns had been hung up in the billowing Sperry Tent. Perhaps one of the most lovely things I have ever seen at a event.

Groupings of lawn furniture & lanterns were scattered across the property, allowing guests to have comfortable places to relax and enjoy the view during the cocktail hour.

Sarah and her 10 maids were absolutely stunning.  Luckily for me I got this photograph of Sarah with some of her maids, just think I am missing half of the wedding party in this picture.

Sarah carried white peony, white cabbage roses, alchemillia, white scabiosa, ranunculus, freesia, stock, and green hydrangea. The bouquet was bound with vintage lace and a cameo necklace.

My husband Evan built these wooden planters for Sarah’s wedding. Each box was 2 foot square and held an enormous design that was surrounded by wheat grass. The pieces made quite the entrance into the ceremony.

Inside the reception tent I provided over 100 vintage milk glass vases, each filled to the brim with amazing white and green blooms. We used peony, cabbage roses, ranunculus, stock, hydrangea, phlox, freesia, spray roses, scabiosa, veronica, green hypericum berry, mini green hydrangea, and green alchemillia in the designs.

The head table was designed with 13 different groupings of milk glass, as well as several designs that were made in my silver vintage creamers or sugar bowls. I also designed in my very special tall white milk glass vases. They are part of my private collection and I have never let them go to an event before but I felt like showing off this weekend so I packed them up just as we headed out the door.

This is image shows the tent or space that was created for the band.

Most importantly a huge round of applause should go to the girls of Bellafare. They completely designed, and executed this wedding with amazing style and attention to detail. Working with these NYC city girls was a total pleasure. It was months of hard work that came to a beautiful and amazing end. Thanks also to Federal City Catering, Charlotte Jenks Lewis Photography ( I can’t wait to see her images), Party Rentals, wedding cake by One Sweet Bite,  and stationery by Sue Coe Designs.

I have two more fabulous weddings to share with you. We had one heck of an amazing weekend last weekend and I have designers buzz!!!

What a beautiful event! Each element was carefully thought out. The personal touches and ecletic style must have made it so personal. Love the boxes your hubby made. Thanks for sharing!
