This post is sure to be a lot of fun!!! I need the Chapel Designers to claim their bouquets.

While in NYC, I challenged the designers to make bouquets with the new European Bouquet Holders by Smithers Oasis. I thought this would be a fun and inspiring activity. Most of us are natural stem or hand tied bouquet designers. In fact most of us thought we hated bouquet holders, myself included, but I changed everyone’s mind after out session. Learning new tricks and being open to them, is what makes a good designer. I personally have fallen in love with this holder and I am now a new believer. I first was pushed to use the holder in Portland when I went to Francoise Weeks studio.  The holder allows you to create looser shapes and cascading bouquets are made easy in this holder. Many thanks to Smithers’ Oasis for sponsoring this portion of our design time. I would also like to thank Florabundance for providing us with beautiful blooms. I had the pleasure of purchasing the flowers for the bouquet portion of the design time by buying direct with Florabundance. This was a lot of fun, and now it’s a system I know how to use. This will be really helpful as I move into the buying season. If you would like to try this buying system speak with your sales representative at Florabundance and they will get you started. The bouquet design time was also sponsored by Alexandra Farms who provided us with the most amazing garden roses, and Roseville Farms, who provided us insanely gorgeous clematis. I am incredibly grateful to Alexandra Farms and to Roseville Farms.  Also thank photographer Geneveive Leiper and Amy Tucker for the incredible pictures.

I designed bouquet #35! Had fun trying out a crescent style cascading bouquet.
Also, I really admire bouquet #12. I like how the designer played off the square form of the Oasis bouquet holder. The details of the design are quite intricate.
