As many of you know my son is getting married this October 5th. We as a family are very excited about this and working diligently to make our family wedding special. It’s interesting to be on the other side of the fence after all of these years. In spite of all I know about weddings I am still shocked at how much has to be done. It’s all of the little things that add up into one big heap. Bow ties, kids shoes, and slacks, flower girl dresses, props, chairs, chargers, its all been up for discussion and its all been evaluated and reevaluated to the point of exhaustion. In the scheme of all of this I am remembering that our wedding is about family. It’s about seeing my son marry a girl he has dated for 9 years. This wedding and all weddings are about creating a new family. I hope as each day passes and we get closer to the big day, we can truly remember the glory and the meaning of a wedding. I am getting really excited!!!

it’s truly amazing how many little details there are to cover, and in the end… the most important detail is the love, family and foundation.
congratulations—hope you’re enjoying all of the little steps along the way!

It is so much fun and emotional too! Have a great time, make sure you sleep lots and let other people do things. You’re the MOG!!!

Our son will marry September 15 in Oregon. (I’m in Florida). I’ve been shipping floral supplies and talking to west coast suppliers for weeks. It’s really hard to be the MOG and the florist, too, isn’t it?….
