I am contacted regularly by fellow floral designers in our trade. Many of you have asked me about classes or visiting with me. I have decided to plan a trip to NYC where we can all spend time together. I have rooms blocked and discounted for us at Fashion 26 which is in the heart of the fashion district and the NYC flower market. Even better the amazing and incredibly talented, David Beahm, named one of the top designers in NYC, has agreed to teach us a class in his corporate offices.

Several months ago I made this same trip to visit David and it was truly one of the best trips of my life. I hope you will join me for this incredible learning experience. Our day will start in the NYC flower market where we will purchase our blooms. We will then head back to David's offices, where we will spend the day actually doing some designs with the guidance of David and Jeremy. Jeremy is one of David's leading event designers and he is awesome. We only have a few slots available so please email me for rates and details.

The rest of our time in NYC we can spend time together shopping and finding new resources. It will be fun getting to know you all and I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you. I hope you will come and contribute to this first ever gathering in NYC.  Just think of all we can learn if we spend this time together. In order to get the block/discounted rooms I need you to email me and confirm by Wednesday at 2pm.

What a fabulous idea! Just got back from the gift show in New York, we found some fun things and we had a chance to go to the flower market – AMAZING!!! I wish I could come, but probably can’t make it, however, THANK YOU for thinking of such a thing – what a treat for floral designers to get together and learn something new. Maybe next time for me!

So, when the government of France awarded him the Volta Prize for inventing the telephone, he combined this monetary award with the money hye made from selling the patent on another invention to establish the Volta Bureau in Washington, D. C. . Its purpose was to fund research on deafness. Today, it is called the Alexander Graham Bell Association. Its role has been changed to providing the latest information to the deaf of the world on how best to cope with their disability.
